Basic obedience: everyday foundations

Starting from scratch, or filling in a few gaps? We can work on responding to their name, sit, down, stay, coming when called and walking with you. The focus is on useful skills you can practise together at home and on outings.

Advanced obedience: build on what they know

If your dog understands the basics, let’s work towards more consistent responses around distractions. Goals can include longer stays, recall in more challenging settings, closer walking and responding at a greater distance. We choose the next steps around your dog’s current skills.

“They listen at home, but nowhere else.”

Tell us where things change: the park, the shop, visitors arriving or another dog nearby. We can make those real-life situations part of your training goals, rather than looking only at what your dog can do in a quiet room.

Recall, focus and everyday manners

Coming back when called, paying attention to you and waiting when needed are common priorities. We discuss what matters most to your household and build a practical plan around those goals.

You’re part of the training

We show you what to practise, involve your household and help you communicate consistently. Whether you are starting with a young dog or building an older dog’s skills, the plan depends on the individual dog and regular practice between sessions.

Your next step

Tell us your dog’s age, what they already know and the three skills you most want to improve. We’ll help you choose a suitable starting point.

Visit our indoor dog training facility in Okavango Park, Brackenfell. We welcome families from Durbanville and Cape Town’s northern suburbs.
